Suitable for: Devotees who wish to have a sacred mantra chanted in Kashi with a personal Sankalp, including those who cannot be present in person.
Mantra Jaap is the repeated, focused recitation of a sacred mantra. In a Vedic Mantra Jaap, Pandits from our Kashi network chant the chosen mantra — for example the Gayatri Mantra, Navagraha mantras or the Navarna Mantra — a set number of times, with a Sankalp taken in the name of the devotee and their family.
The mantra, the Japa count and the number of participating Pandits are agreed with you before the Jaap begins. Larger counts are completed by a group of Pandits chanting together, and the Jaap traditionally concludes with Dashansh Havan.
Devotees traditionally arrange Mantra Jaap as a prayer for the well-being of their family, on auspicious occasions, or when a particular mantra has been suggested to them by an Acharya or astrologer.
A typical vidhi includes Ganesh Puja, Sankalp, Japa of the chosen mantra by the Pandits (count as agreed), and concluding Dashansh Havan and Aarti. The exact procedure is confirmed by the Acharya team.
If you have been advised a specific mantra or Japa count, please share it while booking or on WhatsApp. Otherwise, our Acharya team will explain the options and help you choose.
After you book, our Kashi team contacts you on WhatsApp or phone to confirm the date and timing, note the names and Gotra for your Sankalp, and explain any preparations. On the day, the Acharya performs the Puja in Kashi — you can join through a live stream or be present in person, depending on the option you choose.
