Suitable for: Devotees who wish to honour both Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva.
“Harihar” brings together Hari (Lord Vishnu) and Hara (Lord Shiva), expressing their oneness. Harihar Yagya is a Vedic fire ritual in which both are honoured with mantras and Ahutis into the sacred fire.
The Yagya is performed by our Acharyas in Kashi with a Sankalp in your name. The exact vidhi and the number of participating Pandits are agreed with you in advance.
Devotees traditionally perform Harihar Yagya to offer prayers to both Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva on a single Sankalp.
A typical vidhi includes Ganesh Puja, Sankalp, worship of Lord Vishnu (with the Purusha Sukta) and Lord Shiva (with Rudra mantras), and Havan with Purnahuti. Details are confirmed by the Acharya team.
Share the names for the Sankalp and your Gotra (if known). If you do not know your Gotra, the Acharya will use the traditional alternative (Kashyap Gotra).
After you book, our Kashi team contacts you on WhatsApp or phone to confirm the date and timing, note the names and Gotra for your Sankalp, and explain any preparations. On the day, the Acharya performs the Puja in Kashi — you can join through a live stream or be present in person, depending on the option you choose.
